Went to this location and was doing some looking around. As my partner and I was shopping we were left in the dark. Yes, the dark, because the employees turn the lights off when it’s close to closing time. The lights came back on and then off once more and did this a total of 3 cycles. As an out of towner to the Mobile location I didn’t know what was going on and was taken back by this action. I understand the employees are trying to close and that’s fine. I respect that. Why not use a P.A. System? When I asked they said corporate said that was rude and couldn’t give people a warning over the intercom for closing times. So that’s rude but turning the lights off is better? Not only is that rude but also a safety hazard. What if a customer trips, or runs into something because of their vision being obstructed? I indeed felt very much unsafe. Now I indeed am feeling extremely rushed because at this point the manager is giving a count down for when the register will be closing. This was just poor and below unsatisfactory.

My husband and I ran into Ollie’s yesterday to grab a door mat. We found one and a couple of other things before heading to check out. While walking through the store, the sticky tag from the doormat came off and adhered to my sweater. When we got to the front, the cashier saw me looking for the sticker and then saw my husband notice it in my sweater. She would not accept that it was the tag for the rug. My husband went and got another of the same door mat with the same tag. She once again refused to believe it was the correct tag. She called someone over and they finally told her it was the correct tag. After telling us the item “wouldn’t scan” (before the other staff member came over), she scanned it and it rang up. Before all of that, a seemingly new cashier asked our cashier if she could go on break. That cashier told her to go knock on the office door to ask so she did. I suppose it was the manager that came on the walkie talkie and asked “WHO is knocking on the door?!” The lady answered with her question about break and the manager answered “we have walkies for this, you did not need to knock on the door.” The poor lady was just doing what the other cashier told her to do. It took so much self control to not walk over and tell that new employee that she didn’t deserve that and to quit. The manager was so rude to her for no reason and any customer within earshot could hear it.

Waited 25 minutes in line to checkout and the line moved a total of 3 people. Some woman named Kalli was the only cashier and was moving slower than Christmas. Some other worker came to the front looked at the line of 10+ waiting to checkout. Radioed over the walkie talkie to I’m assuming their boss sitting in the back probably not assisting with anything, that she was taking a 15 and walked away. The people that were checked out within that 25 minute wait had 10 items at most. This is ridiculous. I dropped my items and walked out. Do better.

Its seems like a typical Ollie's. They have a lot of stuff at decent price. There was only one cashier which was kinda crazy on a Saturday morning, but everything worked out.

The store is very clean and organized. It was relatively easy to navigate the store; the wide aisles really make it easier when you have to use one of their wheelchairs. The staff was not only welcoming, but they were also very well-mannered, friendly, and polite.

Great inventory, nearly every item was labeled with a clear and fair price. I really enjoyed the vast array of items. They even had shark vacuums, emeral lagasses new ovens, Mr coffee espresso machines, pizza ovens, fishing poles etc! I had a pleasant experience with the employee who assisted me at checkout. Good prices, crazy amount of inventory; I will definitely be back!

I love Ollies but this store was a mess there was no organization and stuff was thrown everywhere and the two young checkers were just complaining about working, the area is really sketchy and lots of homeless and I saw a drug deal in the parking lot. I don't think I'll be coming back to this location, try Pensecola or Semmes

Came from Semmes to check out the next closest Ollie's Bargain Outlet and was very disappointed. The book section was my main focus for this visit and 90% of the area was taken up by children's books and activity books and there was one small area for adult fiction books. I perused the rest of the store but did not find anything that struck my fancy aside from a pillowcase that matched the quilt I bought at the other ollies. I then spent almost 30 minutes in line waiting to check out. I was tempted to just put my item down and walk out as I am unused to having to wait so long in line at my home store.
