I like reading both local newspapers to get different perspectives of the same news. The Sentinel is way better at getting the word out about local events than the Tribune is. I really appreciate that the Sentinel keeps us apprised of the governmental happenings at the state and national level. As with everything you read, it's up to you to make an effort to come to an educated conclusion about the facts when politics are involved. The Sentinel is proudly conservative and will obviously have that bias. It's up to the reader to dig deeper into other sources to determine whether the information presented in this paper is objectively or subjectively true. There are many legislative things that I have been presented in the Sentinel that I'd never heard of, and confirmed with non partisan sources. I've taken these tidbits presented in the Sentinel and been able to dig deeper because the paper has made me aware of the happenings.
