Went to Foot Traffic because the running shoes I bought (from a different store) didn’t feel right when I was jogging. Morgan greeted me and took the time to hear me out regarding the issue I was having with my shoe. He measured my feet, videotaped my run, and gave me a subject-matter-expert report on my gait and running style. He had me try on 4 different pairs of shoes. This whole process took 20+ minutes; at no point did I get the feeling I was being rushed. Morgan genuinely wanted me to have the right shoe for my running style, and wasn’t impatient in the slightest. I was taken back by his knowledge, professionalism, and attention to detail. Truly one of the best customer service encounters I’ve had. Beautiful store, clean, welcoming, supplied with everything you could need for a good run. I recommend them to anyone who wants to up their running game. 6 out of 5 stars from me!

Like all the other reviews here, I noticed the service was phenomenal. Dan who was working here gave me his full undivided attention and did a video recording analysis of my running style! He made me really excited for my marathon coming up, thanks!

I had a look around at Foot Traffic Downtown Portland, It was a nice-looking place with plenty of accessories and shoes that help you improve your running or walking experience. They offer complimentary gait analysis to help you find some new running shoes or get some advice from one of the plays working there. Overall, would check it out if you are looking into a new pair of shoes or accessories to improve your running or walking experience.

Tim was super helpful! I did a gait analysis while I was there, and he walked me through the results and had me try on multiple shoes in order to find the right pair for me.

Edit: I’m very impressed with the fact that the store owner contacted me regarding my first review. He was very concerned and offered me a small discount on a pair of shoes. Im very impressed with how humble he is. He didn’t make excuses and took responsibility and that show’s character. So I’m updating my review to reflect the dedication this owner has towards maintaining a good name. I still really want to try out more Topo shoes so I will be trying them again at a different location that is bigger and is able to carry a larger stock. I really like the quality of shoes they offer. As we get older we have to take care of our feet and the foot traffic will help with that. As others said the selection is Tiny compared to their other location so my suggestion is to call ahead of time. I did go ahead and erase my other review because in hindsight it was hasty. If I had an issue I should have contacted a higher up person and given them the chance to offer a resolution before running to the internet.

I came in to get ideas about new walking shoes and Katherine was amazing! She explained how the shoes she chose would help with my health concerns, incredibly friendly, and handle the traffic of people coming in like a champ while still helping me. I left with more knowledge and resources for my goals thanks to her.

I received very thorough help picking out a new pair of shoes. Was able to try a number of pairs on, run around the store, and whittle it down to the perfect pair based on my observations from each one. The gentleman who assisted me was very knowledgeable of the shoes and footbeds they had in stock and fine tuned the fit by watching me run and listening carefully to what I had to say after each pair. Cannot recommend this shop and its customer service enough.

Tom gives amazing customer service and selection. His experience helps you find the perfect city shoe or soft flexible trail running. Great custom insole fitting for low impact running that saves your body, while giving you arch support.

I was very happy with the service I received here. I explained what I needed and got some great recommendations. The person helping me took the time to let me try on a bunch of shoes and explained all about the different features of each. They even have a tread mill where you can test how the shoes feel jogging. I spent probably 20-30 mins there and was super comfortable and didn’t feel pressured to decide quickly or to buy anything I didn’t come in for. I also got a free t-shirt because they were celebrating their 25 year anniversary and it’s very soft. Thank you!

The best experience I've ever had buying shoes! I came in this morning and they watched how I walk, measured my feet, and made recommendations for my needs. They were very helpful and I'll definitely be back the next time I need new shoes.

I came in on Tuesday afternoon and had a great experience! I don’t run, but I walk everywhere and work retail, so I need a shoe to get me through the day on concrete floors. Unfortunately I didn’t get the guy’s name who helped me out, but he gave me great recommendations for shoes suited to what I need. I didn’t buy anything that visit but the service was impeccable, and I never felt pressured to make a purchase. I literally fell asleep thinking about the Hokas I tried on…

I am from out of town and ran the Marathon (which was an amazing time). On the Marathon bib is a ticket that says turn into any store for a chance for a free entry. Before I could even pull my tab off the bib, the staffer there was adamant that it'd probably get lost due to an impending move and I should take it to a different store. When I suggested just having a jar for the the tabs and offered my water bottle, he said, "I can't guarantee it won't get lost, so if you want the same chance of winning as everyone else, go to a different store." I don't think a store should run a contest if they can't keep track of the tabs. Also the square was too small. Maybe pre-write the bib number on it the next time they run the contest. Anyway other than that, the store was nice and well stocked with running gear. I bought socks and some lights. As for this year's contest, because the downtown store apparently can't keep track of its entries, I suggest just pulling it from all registered runners.
